Work Editorial’s Annie Perri Edits "It's Funny We Met" Campaign for Hinge
August 26, 2025Hinge and agency Birthday are back with the second chapter of their “It’s Funny We Met on Hinge” campaign, spotlighting the sometimes winding paths that lead to lasting relationships. The ads feature real couples whose connections began on the app but often unfolded in unexpected ways—challenging the notion that modern love stories fit neatly into categories like “met online” or “met in person.”
The new films showcase seven couples from around the world, including the U.S., U.K. and Australia. Their stories range from rekindled connections after years apart to chance encounters that followed a digital match. In one case, San Francisco’s Courtney and Brandon were almost set up by friends before matching on Hinge and meeting during a group trip. In another, Glasgow’s Jasmine and Jordan realized on their fourth date they had briefly locked eyes on a train before meeting on the app.
The campaign emphasizes how love can develop through a blend of timing, technology and serendipity.
